Mouse Toggle APK is an Android app that enables the use of a Fire TV remote control as a wireless mouse for Amazon Firestick, Fire TV, Fire TV Cube, and even the Fire TV Edition 4K television. You may have already noticed that a mouse would really be useful when using some streaming apps such as Popcorn Time or Show Box HD with your Amazon Fire Stick remote. Some items on the screen are often not accessible with the standard Amazon Firestick remote control.
An easy solution to this conundrum is to install Mouse Toggle APK on Firestick, Fire TV, and Cube saving you from having to purchase an expensive wireless mouse. This app will allow you to use the 5-button D-pad (ring and selection buttons) on your Fire Stick or Fire TV remote as a virtual mouse with an on-screen cursor. This My Kodi Addons guide details how to install Mouse Toggle for Firestick, Fire TV, and Fire TV Cube.

Adjustment of Amazon 4K Fire TV, Cube & 4K Firestick Resolution
Important Note: Make sure the display settings are set to 1080p 50Hz on the Fire TV Cube, 4K Fire TV (3rd Generation), and 4K Firestick (released October 31, 2018) due to a resolution bug/glitch. If you don’t make this setting shift, the position of the mouse will be off. This problem also occurs when using a hardware mouse in conjunction with 3rd generation Amazon 4K Fire devices. It’s easy to work around this issue by adjusting the display settings via the Fire TV settings in order to use the Mouse Toggle APK on these Amazon devices.
To use a mouse or the Mouse Toggle app with these Amazon devices, you must adjust the resolution of the Fire device.
- Navigate to the Fire Stick Settings menu item.
- Click on Display & Sounds.
- Go into the Display settings area.
- Click Resolution to adjust.
- Choose the 1080p 50Hz option.
Mouse Toggle App Troubleshooting Tips
Within Fire TV Settings, you can click Device then Developer Options if having trouble with Mouse Toggle not starting once launched. If you still don’t see your pointer after double clicking the play button on your firestick remote, try double-clicking the play button a bit faster.
Enjoy Full Streaming Access with Mouse Toggle
Mouse Toggle makes streaming possible when using apps like ShowBox HD or Popcorn Time on FireOS devices such as Fire TV and Firestick. If you already own or are interested in purchasing a remote keyboard such as the Bluetooth iPazzPort backlit keyboard , that also works wonderfully.
You’ve probably observed that some “unofficial” apps don’t work all that well with the stock Amazon Firestick and Fire TV remote control. Side-loading third-party applications onto your Firestick, Fire TV or Fire TV Cube is very popular. This allows for a better streaming experience with more streaming options available to you.
Some fabulous apps like Show Box HD, Popcorn Time and even lesser known free streaming movie and TV show apps such as TeaTV work best when using a virtual mouse device. This is due to most Android apps not being developed for use with a non-touch television screen and remote control. Designed to be used on a phone or tablet, users guide with their fingers instead of a remote control. The user interface is typically designed to access anywhere on the screen by tapping.
